Dog Kennels or Dog Sitter

I don't know if anyone can help me but we have recently have found a dog. Jack Russell size. We want to keep him but are going away for 5-6 weeks, but are unable to take him with us.

The next question is do the dogs need all there jabs to go into a kennel?

If there is a dog lover out there, who would be able to have Alfee for this period that would be even better. He's a gorgeous dog. We will not be using our apartment so we don't mind if someone wants to dog sit at the apartment.

Anyone who can give me any information it would be very much appreciated.
